Howdy, my name is Mark! I am a senior computer science major here at Texas A&M, who is hopefully graduating this semester! I was beyond ecstatic when I learned that Texas A&M offered a class that was focued on accessible computing. I am interested in studying accessible computing for two main reasons. For one, I have close family members who have disabilities, and I believe in making the internet as useful for them as possible. Secondly, during my internship at Salesforce, my manager gave me a ticket to make sure their work was accessible for all. It was way more difficult than I had expected! Even determing whether something could be read by a screenreader, and navigated through with only a keyboard, gave me trouble. And at that moment, I realized how lacking my education at Texas A&M was in terms of accessible computing, so I hoped that taking this class would help me better help others.
